The RSMobile connected features makes use of a persistent wireless connection, to allow each item scan to trigger a realtime database lookup. The Item Lookup feature gathers information from the RS-SQL database about the scanned item and displays it. The Item Status is always displayed, but other details are displayed only if present. These optional details include Alternate Code, Account Code/Description, the Item’s Short Description, Refile Location Code, Location Code, and Containing Container Code, Status, Alternate Code and Short Description.
