Strategic Partner Conference Updates

Did you miss the fourth Strategic Partner Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach, California during March 2007? It was the second largest industry event in the world and the largest industry user group with over 130 attendees from 30 Countries.

That Conference was undoubtedly the best yet (click here to read all about it) and so we are already planning the next conference with high hopes of, once again, creating the best networking event of the year.

The dates and venue are set with the conference to be held at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach from September 24-26, 2008. This next conference will focus on partnerships, as more and more, companies are looking at reaching out to their clients through enhanced web interfaces, wireless mobile computing, detailed reporting, and other creative strategies. During this event, we will show you how we are moving to meet these challenges and learn from you what else we need to do.

MicroFlash 2T Wireless Printer Update

From November 1, 2007, the MicroFlash 2T wireless printer will be updated to a newer model. The same functionality will exist, however, there will be an "onboard" 802.11 b/g card rather than the previous Symbol PCMCIA card that was required. If you have ordered from this product line previously, the following information may be helpful:

The Kit Numbers 61392 & 61379 will be replaced with Kit Number 61395
The Kit Numbers 61393 & 61394 will be replaced with Kit Number 61396.

Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework (KB928365)

Last night Microsoft pushed out their regular Tuesday Security Update and, if you have it set to automatically install, it may have broken your RSWeb.NET installation.

Sympton: At the RSWeb.NET logon page you may receive the error: "Your Session has Timed Out".

The quick fix is to go to add/remove programs and uninstall the relevant security patch.
For Windows XP/2000 it is update KB928365. For Windows Vista it is update KBKB929916.
Also, it is best to temporarily change the configuration of your auto updates so the update does not re-install itself automatically.

In the meantime, we have opened a support call with Microsoft and will update you when we have this problem resolved. If you require immediate assistance, please contact your local support representative.

New Accounting System - Now Live

We are delighted to say that the installation and conversion went smoothly and all 3 companies (O'Neil Software Inc, O'Neil Software Ltd & O'Neil Australasia Pty Ltd) are up and running. Meeting Center & O'Neil EXPRESS Update

It was brought to our attention today that our O'Neil EXPRESS sessions were failing to run in Firefox. Our Meeting Center and O'Neil EXPRESS sessions utilize the Webex Meeting Manager services. After checking with their support, Webex has identified several browser issues with Firefox and so O'Neil Software recommends the use of Internet Explorer 6 or above when using our meeting services.

BridgeDoc - New Brochure Added to Strategic Vendor Partner Section

Important Alert: Daylight Savings Time Changes will affect your RS-SQL servers, workstations and scanners This bulletin is intended as an overview of areas that must be addressed by your IT resource in order to insure that changes in Daylight Savings Time are accommodated uniformly on any computers used to run ONeil software. This is very important as these changes will affect your RS-SQL database server, RS-SQL clients, RSMobile servers, RSMobile scanners and RSWeb or RSWeb.NET server. If you do not insure that servers and scanning devices are uniformly updated you may jeopardize the reliability of some data recorded in your RS-SQL database. YOU WILL REQUIRE AN IT RESOURCE TO ACCOMPLISH THE NECESSARY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME (DST) CHANGES. Higher priced accommodation may still be available for some nights at the Hyatt but we have been informed that for the nights of Monday 14, Tuesday 15 and Saturday 17 the hotel is completely sold out.
