In this month's newsletter I am trying a slightly different
approach, based on your feedback. Many people want
a quick read in today's busy work environment: An
easy way to browse through the newsletter without having
to scroll through topics that are not of particular
interest. To accommodate this, I have moved to
short bites of information with "Read More" options if
the topic interests you. Let me know if you prefer
this approach.
On the "let me know" point, I am trying very hard to make
sure that I listen closely to your feedback and not just
hear what you say. Our bi-annual survey results
are out and there were some excellent, constructive
criticism's that I need to address. If you took
part, I would like to express my sincere thanks.
Everyone can can view the overview in our What's New
section below.
As always, I hope you enjoy this edition. Ian Thomas
Vice President - Business Development

RS-SQL
Tip |
 |
Want to sort your filefolders by
terminal digit order?
Maybe your customer is a medical facility or an
insurance company? Either way, if they use
terminal digit filing it can play havoc with your
reports, especially in relation to how they are sorted.
So what is Terminal Digit filing? Considered by
many to be the most efficient of the numeric filing
systems, in this system, the last digit or group of
digits is the primary unit used for filing. For example,
the number 7123490 could be broken down as follows:
71-234- 90, with 90 as the primary unit for filing, 234
as the secondary unit, and 71 as the tertiary unit.

Quiz
Us |
 |
Here’s a question asked
of our technical specialists by an O'Neil Strategic Partner during the last month. Why not test your knowledge by seeing if you
know the answer?
Question: I want to add a lot of new
locations. I have already added all my odd numbers
(on one side of the racks) and now want to add my even
numbers. I don't want to overwrite the locations
that already exist so how do I exclude them?
