With the 2010 Strategic Partner Conference seemingly just
around the corner, you can imagine that all the latest
news at O'Neil is focused on that event. As we
work with hotels, event organizers, vendors and you, the
attendees, we can already feel the buzz growing.
All the latest news is shown below, and most exciting is
that donations and sponsorship is already raising money
for our chosen charity. Remember that 100% of
contributions go to the charity, and so there is a great
opportunity to make a difference.
Also in this edition is a big technical focus on the
latest updates for RS-SQL 4.0. As with any new
release, our early adopters get straight to work
identifying any problems, and they have carried out a
great job, allowing us to release a quick update.
As always, I
hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter.

What's New at O'Neil |
 |
RS-SQL is now used in more than
1,000 record centers in 75 Countries!!
It seems like only a short time ago we were announcing
that RS-SQL was installed in 50 countries, but that
number has grown rapidly. Welcoming one of our
latest customers in the country of Honduras as meant
that we have now reached the amazing number of 75
countries.
Thank you to each and every one of you for choosing O'Neil
and continuing to make us the first choice of record
centers Worldwide!
2010 Strategic Partner Conference -
Registration underway: 41% Sold
The pace is picking up for registrations for the 2010
Strategic Partner Conference. We want to thank everyone
who has registered early, as it really helps
us with the planning stages. We will keep the
early registration prices the same as 2008, but remember
that there will be a small increase for late registrants
starting from mid-March 2010. So
don't delay. Write the date in your calendar and book
early for the not-to-be missed event of 2010.

2010 Strategic Partner Conference - Agenda Now
Available
The agenda for the Strategic Partner Conference is now
available on our website and has some great topics being
discussed. Go to
http://www.oneilsoft.com/news-portal/conference-news
and click on the Agenda tab.
The keynote speaker will be Tom Adams, who many of you
know as an expert in the marketing of records management
services. Tom will be sharing is wisdom in the
area of Marketing in the Internet Age.
There are also 16 speakers sessions, with many being
conducted by O'Neil users, showing how they have used
the software to solve particular business issues.
From reporting interfaces to Web customizations, these
generous users are willing to share the knowledge of
what they have achieved.
Four of the talks from our support group look particularly
interesting. They are:
• Paperless Order Fulfillment
• Defining your own import format and other cool
importing tips
• RSWeb.NET; the latest and greatest and how to
make it uniquely yours
• New functionality of invoicing; draft invoices,
schedule invoice runs in advance, automatically apply
rate increases and more
And, of course, we will take the opportunity to gaze into
the future and share some of our plans, as well as
provide opportunities to discuss new ideas.
It's all happening in April. Can you afford not to
be there?
Charity Update: Over $5,000
raised for
Orange County Ronald McDonald House
Every
year, at the Strategic Partner Conference, we focus on a
charity so we can all have the opportunity to share our
good fortune with those who are not so lucky. For
2010 the charity we've selected
is the
Orange County (OC) Ronald
McDonald House, located
only a few blocks from
Children's Hospital of Orange
County, California (CHOC)
and other pediatric
hospitals and medical
facilities in the area. The
idea behind the Ronald
McDonald House is simple:
provide a comfortable and
affordable “home away from
home” for families
shouldering the burdens
associated with a child, who
is being treated for a
serious illness at a nearby
hospital. Our goal is to
help this caring,
compassionate and charitable
organization lift some of
the heavy financial burden
on families, who already
struggle with so many
concerns and fears.
A typical, but sad story can be read at:
http://www.ronaldhouseoc.org/family_stories.php?a=detail&id=17
We knew we could help and already, through your kind
generosity and sponsorship of events at this years'
show, we have already been able to promise $5000 to this
deserving charity. But please let's not stop
there... your company can sponsor any of the
events or you can make a donation online and remember, even if you cannot
attend, please
consider making a charitable
donation.
Thank you for your support. |

should install these updates. A big thanks to our early-adopters, who have
worked closely with us with testing this exciting new release.
There are four updates available:

running the RS-SQL Client. This includes the
database server (if the RS-SQL Client is installed
there).
-
If you
are using RSWeb.NET, this patch must be installed on
your web server.
-
If you
are using Reporting Services, install the RS-SQL
Reporting Services Patch.
-
If you
are using RS-SQL Event Interest, install the RS-SQL

required unless you are encountering a problem.
The patch is

http://www.oneilsoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=612.0
**UPDATED** RS-SQL Version 4.0 -
Readiness Check
RS-SQL version
4.0 comes with a new program designed to ensure you
are ready to upgrade. Known as the Readiness
Check program, it will be available on the RS-SQL
installation CD in the folder with the same name.
You should run this program prior to upgrading your
database to RS-SQL version 4.0.
So what will it do for you?
The updated program examines even
more of your RS-SQL
database, looking for unexpected objects that might interfere with the
RS-SQL 4.0 database upgrade. The Readiness Check program will
also check for and report on SQL Server 2000 presence, and inform you of the
RS-SQL 4.0 requirement for SQL Server 2005 or later.
Click on this link to go to the user forum, where you can download the
updated Readiness Check Program and associated files. Unzip all the contents before
executing the ReadinessCheck.exe program.
