Did you miss the
fourth Strategic Partner Conference at the Hyatt
Regency in Huntington Beach, California during March
2007?
It was
the second largest industry event in the world
and the largest industry user group with over
130 attendees from 30 Countries.
That Conference was undoubtedly the best yet (click
here to read all about it)and so we are
already planning the next conference with high hopes
of, once again, creating the best networking event
of the year.
Below is the draft agenda for 2008 (updated April
15, 2008). Please note
that this is still subject to change.

5C - What’s new with RSWeb.NET?
In this information packed session we’ll show you
how to allow specified web users to be
administrators of login accounts for their company
so they can manage passwords, account access,
function access and more. The new Model User feature
will be integrated showing you how easy it now is to
make changes to function access, forms, language and
other user areas that will trickle down to every
user based on that model. Password policies, drop
down lists, records retention filtering and much
more will be covered. You’ll leave this session
ready to take your customers’ web experience to a
new level. |

Session 6A
- Tools for improved efficiency in both time and
accuracy when picking
At
Saracen we are always quick to jump on new features
– making the assumption that the new feature is
there based upon the feedback and experiences from
many companies across the globe. As such we have
recently re-written our already robust picking
routine to include several new features:
Re-Assign and Substitute, Add Related,
and most impressive of them all for us is the In
Research feature. We immediately saw improved
efficiency in both time and accuracy of picks. Also
the In Research function and subsequent Suspense
List feature gives Customer Service so much more
information and control.

Session 6B
- On a Shoestring
A "DO
WHATEVER IT TAKES" MENTALITY HELPED Rick Kushel 43,
and his partners started a document storage company
in 1991. With just $5,000 in startup capital, they
had to call on their creativity to succeed. Today,
the storage system encompasses hard copy storage and
web based business process automation solutions.
Archive Systems currently boasts more than 500,000
square feet of storage space with sales exceeding
$25 million. Rick and his team have raised over
$20MM in venture financing to expand operations. In
this session, Rick will share some of the lessons he
has learned... |
Rick Kushel, Executive Chairman, Archive Systems Inc |

Session 6C
- RSMobile, I don’t need it…or do I?
Are you connected? Not if you aren’t using the
Connected Tools menu in RSMobile. Got a remote
warehouse where you need to initialize? Then you
need RIO to initialize without connecting to the
database. Do your people carry around special
barcodes to scan an item as not found or use other
picking features? Then you need to know about Tap
and Hold. Do your customers want to see pickups,
validations and workorder information for the visit
your driver just made to them, even before your
driver returns to the warehouse? Or do you need to
send Rush order info to a driver’s scanner, without
the need for him to return to the warehouse? GPRS
does all this and much more. What do you do when you
go to the warehouse to pull one item, but find that
there are actually two files/tapes/boxes that should
be pulled based on the customer’s request? Or the
barcode in the item that matches the Alt Code
requested, isn’t the one on the workorder? Manual
edits are so yesterday. Add Related, In Research,
Substitute and Automated Processing can do it all
for you. If you can’t find ways to save more than
the cost of the RSMobile scanners, you’re not using
all the features at your disposal. |

Session 7A
- RSMobile & GPRS
GPRS is
the latest method, introduced into RSMobile, for
communicating from anywhere. The Hill Company
was the first O'Neil user in the world to introduce
this technology into a live environment. In
this session, James will demonstrate GPRS and
explain its business advantages. |
James Hill, Managing Director, The Hill Company |
|
1:15-2:15PM |
Session 7B
- Storing and Managing Other Items with RS-SQL
We've all
been asked to do it: store furniture, wine or other
items and manage them for the client. Although
RS-SQL was designed specifically for records
management, with a bit of application it is amazing
what you can achieve. In this session you will
see how furniture storage was successfully
introduced. |
Sam Zulia, Allied InfoTech |
|
1:15-2:15PM |
Session 7C
- Imaging On Demand
Document imaging provides a way for the record
center to create images of documents requested by
customers. The images are stored directly in the
database. Rather than physically delivering the
document to the customer, the image can be viewed
through RSWeb.NET. To support document imaging, new
activity sets and actions have been set up for
billing. A new Document Imaging workorder has been
created, and invoicing has been updated to include a
section for document imaging charges. RSWeb.NET
users can now add and edit documents, as well as
request images be created from documents. They can
then view the image in RSWeb.NET. Come learn about
this exciting new product from O’Neil. |

Session 8A
- RS-SQL and Quality Assurance
Winning a
large customer is not easy. The quality checks
alone would swamp most companies but you have a huge
resource at your fingertips: the O'Neil Software
Manuals. In this session, learn how they
helped a customer pass a difficult audit. |

8B - Topic be announced |
Bob Wilson, Storage Plus by Five R, Inc. |
|
2:45-3:45PM |
Session 8C
- Planning for software upgrades and infrastructure
changes.
In this session our most senior O’Neil support team
members cover everything from nuts to bolts; moving
passwords when you move your database, changing
versions of SQL Server and what to expect, 32bit vs.
64bit servers, smoothly upgrading your RS-SQL
software and your database, considerations when
planning infrastructure changes and much more. You
will benefit from this session whether you are
technically oriented or not. |
