O’Neil Software Announces Their Latest Upgrade — RS-SQL, Version 3.2

So once again, O’Neil has announced their latest upgrade to their flagship record storage management product, RS-SQL, Version 3.2. This new release is focused on RSWeb®.NET and RSMobile® enhancements, continuing to lighten the load on record center staff and reducing the time and effort it takes to access information.

This latest release of RS-SQL offers the following highlights:
RSWeb.NET Interface Highlights
Express Ordering Added. This new feature provides different ways for your customers to quickly order an item; e.g., if they do not know its barcode. Can also be used to search for items or request un-registered items. All can be placed onto work orders with the minimum amount of steps.
Web Priorities with Alerts Seamlessly Passed to Work Orders. A Priority Alert feature enables you to set up notifications when work orders are placed in RSWeb.NET. Incoming orders are monitored and notification sent out to selected users. Also allows the Priority and Requested Fulfillment date on web orders copied to the required by date/time on the work order.
Custom Themes for Your Brand. Enables you to have your record center’s branded looks. Make changes to the RSWeb.NET logo; set the style for the page header, footer; change the side navigation bar background. We now provide a cascading style sheet template for your use. Simply customize the style to seamlessly fit in with your website design.
Export Any Search Results. An Export feature now allows your customers to export data right from their web browser that can be viewed in Microsoft Excel or other programs.
Unregistered File Folders Easily Handled. Your customers can now order file folders out of boxes even if they have not yet been indexed by you. This functionality works in tandem with RSMobile and the new Substitution/Add Related feature, to ensure database integrity.
RSMobile Interface Highlights
Pick It Any Way You Want. You can now scan items on your pick list out of sequence. A new option, Enforce Pick Order, can be unselected to allow any item on your pick list to be scanned.
Substitute Pick Items. This feature allows for easy substitution of one pick list item for another. For example, substitute a barcoded file folder for an unregistered one on a pick list.
Add Related Pick Items. This feature allows additional “related” items to be added to a pick list from within RSMobile. For example, when searching for an unregistered file folder, you discover that it is part of a set of three. Use the Add Related feature to add them to your pick list.
RSMobile Key Map. Because there is a host of possible options on your RSMobile hand-held, a new feature has been added to the Key Map screen. While this screen is displayed, you can tap on any item listed and that keystroke is sent to the parent screen, closing the Key Map. For example, when scanning a pick list and wanting to indicate a Not Found, simply bring up the Key Map, tap anywhere on the line showing Item Not Found. The keystroke is sent to the pick list screen, resulting in a Not Found scan.
RSMobile Prefix Command Barcode. This feature gives you the ability to scan barcodes of any length, add a prefix and pad them out with zeros to a specified length.
